What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis

Hypnosis is an age old technique of focusing, finding resources, and making changes easily and quickly.

In modern times, science has proved the effects of hypnosis, making it a valuable tool for both self improvement and clinical settings alike.

Hypnosis covers many activities. If you've ever watched a movie and become totally engrossed in it; if you've heard someone talk and become excited and motivated by what they're saying to the point where you change your focus to achieve the things they were talking about; if you've ever been driving and missed your turning because you'd zoned out and were driving on auto-pilot; guess what? You've experienced hypnosis!

To use hypnosis with volition, we often use trance. What is trance? Trance is a relaxation that allows you to focus inwardly to find resources and skills and to make changes in your mind easily. It allows us to tap into the potential of the mind and body, letting us change behaviour, motivation, belief, as well as tap into the healing potential every body has.

The subconscious (or, unconscious) mind has unlimited potential, and hypnosis is an extremely effective way of tapping in to it, for everything from losing weight, to stopping smoking, to pain relief, and healing.

Trance and hypnosis have often been misconstrued, with people thinking that they would lose control or be open to manipulation. This could not be more wrong, as with all techniques you will only make changes and accept the suggestions that are in line with your moral values, and what you want to happen.
